The Division of Chemical Health and Safety is a multi-disciplined group with a unified objective to promote chemical health and safety in the work place and in society. We are a technical division of the world's largest professional scientific society, The American Chemical Society. This objective is accomplished by providing a forum for the discussion of laws and regulations relating to chemical health and safety, information on the properties of chemicals which affect health and safety directly or through the environment and promoting the exchange of scientific information within and among the various disciplines that make up the membership. The Division works with other ACS Divisions as well as the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Industrial Hygiene Association, the National Safety Council and the National Fire Protection Association.
