The College of Public Health provides quality graduate and professional education for both public health practice professionals and research scientists. The OU College of Public Health is one of only 38 accredited schools of public health in the United States.
A multi-disciplinary faculty prepares students for public health practice in five core areas; biostatistics, epidemiology, health administration and policy, health promotion sciences, and occupational and environmental health and in the area of public health preparedness and terrorism emergency response.
The objective of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health is to unite in an interdisciplinary training and research program, persons grounded in natural, physical, and health sciences in order to develop an understanding of human response to the environment as well as the response of the environment to the activities of humans.
