Environmental Science Program
The Environmental Science program is permeated with the Franciscan value of respect for creation. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree consists of a core required of all students and an area of concentration chosen by the students according to their goals.
Careers for students with bachelor’s degrees in environmental science are growing rapidly. Environmental science students have taken jobs in industry as environmental compliance officers, managers of environmental health and safety and in environmental laboratories. Staff positions in field stations in environmental education are also available to graduates.
Environmental science students anticipating graduate work apply to graduate programs in chemistry, biology or environmental science. Students may apply to law school with the intention of practicing environmental law.
