Position Summary
Responsible for the management of the Safety & Health staff and directing Safety & Health activities. Prepares, reviews and analyzes reports. Provides training/professional development for field consultants. Carries an appropriate field work load.
Job Specifics
Directs and coordinates department Safety & Health activities.
Prepares and monitors department Safety & Health budget.
Prepares reports and maintains records as required.
Reviews, analyzes, communicates about reports, records and directives.
Obtains data required for planning department activities.
Assigns or delegates responsibility for specific work, inter-branch service, gives instruction, guidance and resolves problems.
Monitors work schedules and sets completion deadlines.
Coordinates activities of department with interrelated activities of other departments.
Maintains a high level of communication with Underwriting pertinent to our progress on our service accounts.
Assists in marketing proposals.
Evaluates current procedures and practices and recommends alternate methods as needed to improve performance.
Responsible for hiring and maintaining adequate staff for branch workload.
Conducts performance evaluations, recommends promotions and salary increases.
Provides training/professional development for field consultants.
Carries an appropriate field work load.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
Field technical knowledge equivalent to Senior Consultant.
4-Year College Degree in Safety & Health or related field, and 6 years management experience required.
Superior interpersonal skills.
Superior organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid California Driver's License in good standing.
