Recognized leader in the environmental consulting industry, offering diverse services for site investigation and remediation, merger and acquisition due diligence, environmental regulatory compliance, and air quality compliance projects from 140 offices worldwide.
Our client seeks a senior consultant/project manager to support environmental Health & Safety (H&S) consulting efforts throughout Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. This individual will be responsible for:
- Inspecting/evaluating work operations, production methods, and engineering control of potential contaminant emission sources or related H&S conditions; - Investigating working-conditions in client facilities, including ergonomics, process safety analyses, process hazard analyses, etc.; - Managing/inspecting H&S performance on construction/remediation projects; - Determining effective engineering control methods and making recommendations on location, design, structure, operations, and maintenance; - Developing safety programs and evaluating performance related to standards; - Consulting with management, industrial engineers, employee representatives, and other client/ERM personnel regarding H&S problems and solutions; - Auditing facilities/projects for compliance with H&S regulations, including OSHA/DOT; - Hiring, managing, and training new ERM H&S consultants as-needed; and - Networking, cold-calling, and researching new potential clients as well as follow-up business development activities with an annual business development goal of $500k.
Requirements:
- BS Degree (MSc preferred) in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field. - 10+ years of H&S consulting or industry experience, including workplace audits, compliance evaluation, policy development and required reporting. - Expertise in H&S requirements/regulations in a broad range of industries, preferably within the South-Central region of the US. - Proven track record in consulting and business development for large H&S contracts. - Established relationships and a positive reputation within the local consulting industry as well as within the legal and regulatory communities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience writing detailed technical reports; - Ability to handle multiple assignments, meet strict project deadlines within established project budgets, and travel as-needed to client facilities throughout the region. - CIH or CSP strongly preferred.
