IMERYS North America Ceramics, a worldwide leader in developing & manufacturing mineral-based products for the Ceramics Industry, is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to develop, implement & monitor the EHS program at our mining and production facilities in Spruce Pine, NC.

Working closely with governmental agencies, you will be responsible for all aspects of EHS/mine permitting, compliance and continuing improvement. You may also be involved with other NAC sites in North America and with our Group EHS functional teams.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety or Engineering (or related field); a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing EHS management experience; and a detailed, working knowledge of Environmental and MSHA and/or OSHA regulations, policies & procedures. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office applications, and have strong analytical, strategic planning, team-building, and communication skills. Experience in mining operations is preferred. Anticipated domestic travel: 10-20% with potential for occasional international travel.
