Job Description
Title: Safety Supervisor Education: BS Industrial Safety or related Years of Required Experience: 10 years minimum Industry: Refinery Location: Northeast Texas
Our client has an immediate need for a Safety Supervisor to develop, implement and revise safety programs to improve the effectiveness of facility safety and comply with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities to include: conducting /supervising safe work permitting; conduct hot work, JSA and OSHA compliance audits; serve as Radiation Safety Officer; secure and process administrative information, accident reports and claims; Industrial Hygiene monitoring; facilitate incident investigation to determine root cause and develop corrective actions; teach employee preventative measures and immediate actions involving all kinds of potential accident and will manage a staff of at least (5).
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and knowledge: • At least 10 years of hands-on safety experience out of refinery or chemical industry • Solid knowledge of OSHA and general DOT regulations; conducting audits and trained in industrial fire response • Microsoft Office skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization • Prior management experience preferred
