JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops and administers policies to establish and promote safe working conditions within the company, and to insure compliance with federal and state workplace regulations.
The Plant Safety Manager will be the resource to management on all regulatory issues, compliance, training needs and implementation, and incident investigations pertaining to safety to achieve /maintain a zero injury culture
Provide safety training and conducting “Train the Trainer” sessions to provide information and training for new and existing employees.
Manage PSM program by scheduling PHA’s and audits; coordinate with department management MOC, SOP and Mechanical Integrity systems. The Safety Manager will oversee the activities of all plant safety committees; audit the company production facilities regularly; proactively determine parameters to predict incidents and prevent them from occurring.
Also included are the responsibility for safety related record keeping, management of the worker’s compensation process, updates to the safety compliance programs and training documents and management of the Process Safety Management (PSM) program
REQUIREMENTS: • BS - Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or closely related discipline. • 5 years experience with loss prevention, OSHA/Safety training and PSM (Process Safety Management) • 5-7 years experience Safety Management. • MUST HAVE: Behavioral Based Safety and extensive PSM (Process Safety Management) experience
