Amerisafe Consulting and Safety Services is a National Safety Consulting Company specializing in managing safety on large scale projects and outages in the chemical, steel, power and wind industries. If you are an eager and motivated safety professional or a recent graduate, then we have the opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a safety professional for a refinery in IL. Some refinery experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities • Develop and revise written safety programs • Conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling • Conduct site inspections for industry and construction • Assist consultants with EPA permitting and program development • Heath and safety audits and inspections • Develop and conduct employee health and safety training • Conduct job hazard analysis to determine risks and corrective measures

Requirements • Bachelors of Science in a Safety Field preferred • Effective verbal communication skills • Ability to travel both locally and nationally • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for General Industry and Construction • Strong technical writing skills • Ability to work independently • Excellent organizational skills
