Job Description
Our client is searching for DEGREED candidates to provide Safety and Health technical expertise and support to oil and gas exploration and production field locations in Louisiana and Eastern Texas.
Responsibilities include:
• Inspect oil and gas production facilities, and compressor stations for compliance with OSHA, state and company rules, regulations, and guidelines. • Manage the contractor safety management program • Prepare training and educationalmaterials/presentations • Participate in incident investigations of employees and contractors; determine root cause(s) and initiate corrective action. • Provide guidance to both employees and contractors on behavioral issues and assist field operations on an ongoing basis. • Assist with due diligence on property divestiture and acquisition activities.
The successful candidate must be innovative, self motivated, capable of handling multiple projects, prioritize tasks on a daily basis, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree in safety or engineering related discipline is required. CANDIDATES WITHOUT A MINIMUM OF A BACHELORS DEGREE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY • 5 - 10 years of progressive applicable EH&S work related experience in the oil and gas exploration and production business.
Position requires at least 50% travel to locations in the division
