Job Description
The functions of the Validation & Risk Assessment Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities include management of facilities projects related to the following systems: utilities, compressors, chillers, boilers, bulk raw materials, on-site storage tanks, and associated piping. In this role you will also provide engineering advice and counsel to the operations environment relative to the interface of processing/line equipment and the facility. Identify and execute on opportunities to improve safety throughout the facility. Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance environmental stewardship on site. Perform validation audits on new equipment and process installations. Perform risk assessments for site-related activities. Conduct and train personnel on Root Cause Analysis techniques. Perform and train personnel on Accident Investigation. Develop scope of work for various short and long term facilities projects. Work with contractors/vendors to estimate project work and budgets. Present project justification to management for approval. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources. Coordinate with division engineering as necessary. Coordinate with operations engineers, supervisors, managers, and employees as necessary to facilitate project completion. Train personnel on changes associated with project work. Coach & develop new engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering required 5+ years relevant facilities engineering experience Strong AutoCAD skills Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot complex systems and processes Experience supporting a distribution/operations environment Strong MS Office computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint Excellent communications skills (oral and written), professional judgment and sound decision-making skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to achieve focused results Ability to interface effectively with every level of the organization Ability to mentor and develop new engineers within the organization Organized and able to handle a multitude of assignments simultaneously Must have a sense of urgency and service orientation, with a high level of flexibility and responsiveness required Ability to train others on new equipment, processes, and procedures Willingness to travel and/or relocate based on business needs
