Job Description
The Occupational Health Mid-Level Practitioner will be the primary point of contact for occupational health services and expert advice to their business unit. At times, cross-cover support of other SPU Operations may be required.
Reporting Relationships:
The Occupational Health Mid-Level Practitioner will report to Cherry Point HR for non medical/health functions and the Health Department for medical related functions.
Cherry Point refinery employs approximately 850 BP staff and the Occupational Health Mid-Level Practitioner will interact with other members of the Health team, HSSE, HR and line supervision in delivering occupational health services.
Requires occasional field support within the refinery including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, climbing, use of hands and feet.
Experience:
5 Years experience in corporate health
High degree of competence in core areas of occupational health (Occupational Health regulations (OSHA), ADA and FMLA compliance, occupational injury and illness management, drug and alcohol programs, medical surveillance, fitness for duty
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
Ability to travel on occasions for business purposes
Well developed problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education / Certifications:
Must have advanced professional degree or certification in Occupational Health or equivalent experience
ACLS certification required
Occupational Health certification desired
ARNP or PA required
