Job Description

The Position: Leads hazard reviews using HAZUP, What-if and checklist methodologies. Develops a robust safety inspection program. Identifies PSM/RMP process improvement opportunities. Establishes risk assessment procedures for critical process safety equipment. Has multi-site responsibilities for 4 sites. Position is available due to growth and offers excellent advancement opportunities.
Requires: Bachelors Degree preferably in an Engineering discipline -- familiar with OSHA, PSM and EPA risk management plans -- good multitasking skills. Familiar with chemical manufacturing processes a definite plus factor.
Company says: "In the PSM position, we are looking for 5 key areas of expertise: 1. Ability to identify process hazards - experience in the field, hands on. 2. Must have personally conducted PHA's - not just manage or coordinate, but actually led in the field 3. Must have been personally involved in leading Haz Op and had experience in the field as well. Strong leadership in this area. Not just participated, but must have led the process. 4. Must have conducted (led) PSSR - Want someone who has experienced the entire pre startup safety review and led the process, again in the field. 5. Someone with strong knowledge of the MOC system - experience in the overall process from initiation to completion. Familiar with the system, potential bottlenecks and delays in completing management of change initiatives
This Associate must be able to effectively audit all elements of the PSM Process
The other strong point would be a background in Mechanical Integrity and systems associated with such. If they were not personally involved in that field, at least experience in scheduling or monitoring the Mechanical Integrity function.
