Resumes will be accepted for the position of Environmental Program Coordinator reporting to the Technology Division at its corporate headquarters located in Keokuk, Iowa.
The Environmental Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing and implementing RAI's environmental compliance programs for RAI facilities. The position will be focused on improving compliance with environmental requirements and developing strategies and plans for doing so effectively.
Primary duties for this position include managing multiple programs to ensure and enhance facility environmental compliance through consistent application and improvement of existing methods of environmental control and reporting and development of new programs to achieve continuous and step improvement in RAI facilities performance. Duties require strong knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to permitting and compliance of air emissions, wastewater, solid waste, and hazardous materials and the ability to demonstrate proficiency in working cross-functionally with others in Roquette, as well as external constituencies such as consultants, lawyers, government regulators and the general public.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communications skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. A strong ability to work collaboratively with other managers and personnel from the Operations and Technology groups is required by this position.
The following requirements and qualifications have been established for this position:
· BS in Engineering or Chemistry, or related field of Sciences
· Minimum 3-5 years direct experience in Environmental compliance
· Demonstrates ability to manage environmental programs
· Demonstrates a desire to have a RAI career path that leads outside of the environmental group
· Demonstrates understanding and effective utilization of environmental compliance strategies
· Demonstrates ability to effectively translate environmental regulations to practical solutions for industrial facilities
· Demonstrates strong internal and external communication skills
· Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills at all levels of Roquette and external organizations
· Demonstrates high-level computer skills.
