Job Description
The purpose of this job is to lead and facilitate activities related to Safety and Environmental programs and regulatory compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor accident / incident reports and take corrective action as necessary to improve safety standards.

- Compile budget information for areas of responsibility and report on budget-to-actual results.

- Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and practices to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations.

- Develop and present safety training programs.

- Manage the monthly safety committee meetings and monitor action items to ensure completion in a timely manner.

- Conduct routine safety inspections and critically assess workplace safety infrastructure, mechanisms, operating systems, policies and procedures in accordance with emerging legislation and government safety requirements and targets.

- Responsible for writing and maintaining all lockout tagout procedures. Maintain safety contingency plans and all company EPA Hazardous Waste Records.

- Maintain and monitor air emission permits, water pollutant discharge and all related maintenance paperwork.

- Prepare and submit all applicable environmental reports.

Requirements: - A Bachelor's Degree in safety management, business administration, industrial engineering, or related field.

- Minimum 3 years experience in an EHS role function in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Should be able to present safety training to diverse audiences
