The Corporate Manager of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health will use their strong technical, interpersonal skills and passion to assess existing practices, build consensus for program improvements, develop strategies and drive change.

This manager and champion will: • Provide technical expertise and consultation to the company’s plants, terminals, and alternative fuels facilities to help ensure potential health hazards have been identified, assessed, and controlled. • Define and prioritize Industrial Hygiene / Occupational Health improvement opportunities across the company. Build consensus for and lead the implementation of a company wide improvement plan. • Own all related corporate policies, procedures, standards, and tools. • Support Product Stewardship activities • Develop strategies to reduce workplace injuries • Champion wellness programs that will improve employee health • Build strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, trade associations, and other organizations
This is a high profile position, and the individual must be capable of working effectively with operating personnel as well as senior executives to lead change. The ideal candidate will draw on extensive in-the field Industrial Hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of OSHA/MSHA. A Masters Degree in Industrial Hygiene is strongly desired, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) in Comprehensive Practice preferred and 6-Sigma (or other continuous improvement process) experience is helpful. Strong project management, leadership and interpersonal skills are essential while demonstrated ability to build consensus and support for change will lead to success.
