An immediate opening for a self-starting, results-oriented, experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager is available at the Clarksville, MO plant within Geocycle.
Geocycle, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Holcim (US) Inc and a dynamic, employee-focused premier provider of waste co-processing services in the US, providing for the beneficial use of waste products from industry and local communities.
As a leader of the EH&S team, develop and ensure implementation of the facility's environmental, health and safety and quality management programs, including ISO 9001/14001 certification, ensuring alignment with Holcim Ltd. OH&S pyramid and corporate environmental objectives. Primary responsibilities are: • Primary source of contact with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies and personnel • Coordinate, conduct, and document all safety training and administer, monitor, and ensure contractor safety compliance on all projects • Conduct plant inspections and investigations, coordinate medical treatment, and facilitate all worker's compensation claims • Develop programs and initiatives that provide a proactive and high involvement approach to safety and the environmental program
Bring your knowledge possessed through a Bachelors degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering, or related technical field and five (5) plus years experience in hazardous waste industry is required and includes experience in a position that is responsible for ensuring environmental and safety regulatory compliance. Working knowledge of hazardous waste requirements (RCRA), contingency planning, and air and solid waste regulations and auditor training with ISO 9001/14001 quality and environmental systems are also preferred. With the working knowledge of industrial safety and hygiene techniques and concepts as a foundation and utilizing excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills you will gain commitment, problem solve and act as a technical resource.
