Our client seeks a Process Safety Engineer for their EHS Consulting Group in Columbus, OH.
This individual will manage and execute process safety projects including audits, HAZOP’s, PHA’s and other process safety related work for industrial clients. Projects will include EHS auditing for chemical and refinery clients including line verification and chemical process hazard analysis. As a senior technical consultant, the individual will be responsible for developing scopes of work, growing and leading a team of consultants and ensuring that all projects are completed in accordance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
Requirements:
* BS in related technical field and 8 years of experience. Experience must include at least 3 years of EHS auditing experience and 5 years of industry process safety experience. * Existing business relationships in the chemical and oil & gas sectors and ability to leverage those relationships for business development * Expert knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and Process Safety Management standards * Strong business acumen and ability to create highly consultative relationships with clients * Excellent written and oral communication skills required * Relevant certifications including CSP, PE, CHMM, CIH strongly preferred
