Job Description

Description

Provide leadership and direction on occupational safety/industrial hygiene (OSIH) as subject matter expert. In particular:

Provide technical and regulatory expertise as OSIH subject matter experts, interpretation and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory and BASF requirements, safe work practices and continuous improvement of OSIH programs

Develop, communicate and assist with implementation of new and revised procedures, processes/tools Identify and communicate sucessful OSIH practices

Develop curriculum and core content for employe OSIH training, and

Assess root cause analysis and provide coaching to improve performance.

This position's geographic location is flexible but must work at a BASF manufacturing site. final decision on location will be determined by BASF hiring manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in safety and health, chemical engineering or other technical field. Candidates with other BS degree will be considered if combined with excellent relevant experience and skills. BASF recognizes institutes of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education or equivalent.,

8+ years of demonstrated OSIH experience in a manufacturing environment

CSP, CIH or both

MSHA experience is highly desirable

Excellent communication skills with a variety of organizational levels

Good working knowledge and experience with electronic tools such as Cognos and EHS electronic tools such as AIM, Change Manager, MedGate, etc.

Detail oriented and results driven

Demonstrated team leadership
