At Holcim (US), Inc. we are on the cutting edge of building the largest single line kiln cement plant in the world at our Bloomsdale, Missouri (Ste. Genevieve County) location and have a new position for an results-oriented, experienced ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER. Our facility is located on 3900 acres of which approximately 2,200 acres is being preserved as conservation easement and 2.6 acres of wetlands, maintaining our commitment to the environment. Holcim has been included in both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index for five years.

Advance your environmental career as a key member of the plant team and the organizations environmental commitment. You will further strengthen the commitment by providing leadership and technical expertise to environmental issues related to the Ste. Genevieve plant. Specifically, you will offer guidance and support for air quality permitting (PSD and Title V), and monitoring and testing to assure compliance with both regulatory and internal Holcim standards, interact with the plant personnel and company management to communicate environmental requirements, assist with data gathering and preparation, identify compliance issues, and implement compliance requirements, while performing statistical analysis, prepare reports, maintain appropriate compliance records, and file required documents with various regulatory agencies. It is an excellent opportunity to assist with developing and participating on a Community Action Committee and provide engineering solutions to environmental issues, including permitting, pollution prevention, environmental regulatory compliance, training, inspections, reporting, auditing, and contractor compliance. Bring your knowledge possessed through a Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering and a minimum of 2-4 years experience with a focus on air issues (NSR, PSD, NSPS, Title V, MACT), solid waste management (RCRA) and CERCLA and Clean Water Act. Bring your passion for sustainable development and excellent interpersonal skills, multi-media audit experience and ISO 14001 implementation and maintenance knowledge.
