Description BASF, “The Chemical Company”, is seeking applicants for a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Team Member at the Huntsville, AL manufacturing facility. This position involves direct support of all aspects of the site safety and industrial hygiene program. Key elements include accident/incident investigations, safety/IH training, capital project safety reviews, site safety/IH procedures, hazard communication, emergency response planning, respiratory protection program, industrial hygiene monitoring, agency reporting and interface, and overall safety and health compliance management.

Qualifications 4 year engineering or science related degree; 2- 5 years experience in safety/IH position; safety/IH regulatory and technical expertise; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with site level manufacturing/business management; ability to interact with community, elected officials and non government organizations; ability to interact with state and federal regulatory agencies. BASF recognizes Institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
