• review NEPA documents, plans, and projects for potential environmental impacts and impacts to threatened and endangered species, historical sites, etc. • make recommendations as to whether projects can be categorically excluded or requires further study • assist with development and scoping of Enironmnetal Impact Statements. • provide technical assistance and coordination to support the review NEPA documentation. • Support development of the administrative record for NEPA decisions • Provide initial determinations/recommendations regarding the needed reviews. • Review submissions for completeness and adequacy of information and organize and prepare technical information for review by the Government • Consolidate technical comments from DoD and regulatory agencies on draft NEPA documents. • Coordinate review and evaluation of new/proposed environmental laws and regulations
Master's degree in environmental planning or urban planning is preferred. Bachelor's degree and number of years of experience will be considered.
Specific experience in preparation and review of NEPA documentation for US Navy projects projects is preferred. 5-10 years of experience is required.
Location of work and projects will be located in San Diego, CA.
