Job Description
The Opportunity -RMT is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic leader of the Eco-efficiency Product Line to drive profitable growth of its Sustainable Business Services practice area. Services in this area include developing projects to reduce environmental impacts while increasing the business value of the client organization, such as waste minimization, pollution prevention, energy efficiency, carbon management/reduction, carbon off-set management, and life cycle analyses. The position can be at any of our RMT, Inc. locations.
The Position - Utilizing his/her combination of industry and consulting experience, the responsibilities will include problem-solving with strong “up the pipe” pollution prevention and energy efficiency expertise to share with potential industrial clients. Fully versant in carbon management/GHG emission inventory methodologies and will lead the team in combining eco-efficiency projects to develop the emerging sustainability market. (Carbon, water, waste, energy. Product design, process optimization).
Requirements - · Experience in the development and execution of eco-effeciency projects and consulting services in heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
· Auditing/consulting experience relating to sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and/or carbon management or EHS management systems implementation
· The individual will be self motivated and capable of effectively managing time over a wide variety of activities to produce measurable results.
· Must be able to cultivate and sustain relationships with senior-level production management
· Strong ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS background
· Able to design and implement sustainable development strategic approaches and carbon offset management strategies.
· Conduct Life Cycle Analyses
· Energy, refinery, heavy manufacturing or other relevant sector specific experience will be an advantage.
· Advanced knowledge of GHG policies, programs, protocols and standards, in particular: WBCSD/WRI GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, California GHG programs, CCX, RGGI, US DOE 1605b, US EPA Climate Leaders, Green-e, and CDM
· Hands on mentality and enjoying working in complex and challenging work environments.
· Excellent communication and writing skills and fluency in English required.
· Ability to work under pressure and work with many tasks at the same time.
· Minimum of eleven years of experience in comparable position
· Bachelors degree or Masters in engineering, environmental management or other appropriate discipline; an MBA is desirable
