Job Description
This key member of the team will be responsible for coordinating the safety and workers compensation affairs of the plant. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to: maintaining all safety written programs in compliance with current laws and regulations; developing training materials and conducting or supervising training for safety programs; creating appropriate documents to comply with filing activities for all safety reporting and programs; administering and coordinating the facility's compliance with workers compensation. A strong presence in operations is essential. The successful candidate will have: five years of previous safety experience in a manufacturing environment. BS degree in engineering, environmental science, safety & health or related field, an MS/MBA degree preferred but not necessary; demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety laws and regulations. A Safety Certification is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an outstanding track record are essential.
