Job Description
Amerisafe Consulting and Safety Services is a National Safety Consulting Company specializing in managing safety on large scale projects and outages in the chemical, steel, power and wind industries. With offices in Chicago, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, we are fortunate to have quality employees and solid client relationships which enable us to continually add to our staff! We are currently seeking a Chicago Manager. This person’s job responsibilities will include and are not limited to:

• Supervision of day to day activities of the business and for all direct reports and consultants. This includes quality assurance of reports work, development of training programs, onsite visitation of clients and technical assistance to any client or direct report • Consultation with clients on safety issues. This includes development of written safety programs, management of projects, legal compliance of all federal, state and local laws, and contract compliance. • Conflict resolution of any clients or employee issues. • Development of a yearly business plan and strategic planning. • Conduct contract reviews for terms and conditions. • Review all proposals for accuracy and approval of financial arrangements. • Maintenance of and effective work force. This includes development of incentive programs, recruitment and selection of staff, salary reviews and promotions, disciplinary issues and hiring and termination of employees. • Building relationships with customers and other industry contacts. • Promotion of growth within the business. This includes development and promotion of new service programs, client retention programs, and development of marketing materials.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree-Preferably in Safety Management • Effective verbal communication skills • Ability to travel both locally and nationally • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for General Industry and Construction • Strong technical writing skills • Ability to work independently • Excellent organizational skills • Previous management experience • Certification in CSP a plus!
