Job Description
The Opportunity - RMT, Inc. is a leading environmental and engineering consulting firm in the country, ranked 77th by Engineering News Record. We have been helping our clients solve their most difficult and diverse engineering and environmental challenges for over 30 years. With over 650 employees in sixteen offices in the United States and two international locations, we currently have an opportunity for a Civil Engineer in our Milwaukee office.

The Position - The position will entail participating in a broad variety of civil and environmental engineering assignments, including wind energy, environmental remediation, fueling systems, water supply, wastewater, and landfills. The work will involve preparing work plans and proposals, performing calculations and engineering evaluations, interpreting data, presenting data, and preparing conceptual designs and detailed construction plans and specifications. The position will also entail performing environmental engineering such as SPCC Plans, SW PPP Plans, and Remedial Action Plans. The qualified candidate will interact with clients, vendors and subcontractors as well as other employees in both management and subcontractor roles.

Requirements - The candidate will have 0-5 years of related civil and environmental engineering experience and a minimum of a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Candidate should possess excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to work with engineering and CADD support to accomplish project objectives. Candidate should possess solid technical skills over a broad range of civil and environmental engineering and preferably have experience in civil engineering software such as hydrology, hydraulics, elementary structural design, site work. Must be willing to accept occasional short and long term field assignments. Must have a valid driver’s license and be capable of performing site visits. Must be willing to become 40-hour health and safety trained.
