Job Description
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. headquartered in Pittsburgh PA, currently has an opening in our Indianapolis Indiana office for an Environmental Compliance Specialist.
Job duties will include permitting, site visits for OSHA requriements and regulations, report writing, client interaction, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BS or BA in environmental or occupational health and safety management, environmental science, engineering, chemistry or related degree.
5+ years experience.
Candidate should have a background in environmental and health and safety compliance related matters (permitting, waste handling, EPCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, OSHA programs for manufacturing, waste water, audits, etc.) as opposed to environmental investigation and remediation. This might include course work in 29CFR (OSHA), 40CFR (Environmental) or perhaps internships/co-ops with manufacturing or chemical organizations in a compliance related role.
Prefer an individual with exposure to both environmental and safety compliance programs. A desire to develop and manage clients with complaince related work is also preferred.
Excellent communication skills Word and Excel experience a must. Excellent technical writing skills a must.
