Coordination/execution of facility environmental compliance tasks at multiple Business Unit (BU) site. This includes training, incident investigations and reports, permits, operating plans, audits/inspections, facility projects, BU initiatives, agency communications, and corporate EHS reporting. Responsibilities include compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and corporate EHS policies. Hands-on work with facility operating personnel to maintain and promote environmental awareness and compliance. Interaction with the community on voluntary environmental initiatives.
70% - Manage daily environmental compliance at the facility and ensure proper recordkeeping and reporting is performed as required by local, state, federal and corporate requirements.
20% - Provide training to all plant employees on environmental policies, permits, and procedures
5% - Support corn milling environmental programs (PDG, ISO, special projects, etc.)
5% - Promote Cargill through involvement in community environmental activities and professional organizations.
Required:
BS degree preferably in engineering or environmental science Minimum 2 years experience in industrial setting Demonstrated knowledge and experience with environmental regulations in order to implement and train. Effective communication (written, verbal, listening) skills. Demonstrated team building, coaching, and conflict resolution.
