Job Description
The HSE Safety Projects Advisor is a key member of the North Slope Safety Team. Their scope of activities include ensuring the field operations/activities are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations and conformance with BP HSE policies and procedures. The primary objective is to provide compliance service such as training, technical support, information sharing, HSE compliance tools, regulatory advocacy and program development and implementation.
Qualifications: - Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
- The willingness and ability to work a 12-hour day/night shift with a 2/2 weeks on/off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial health/safety field role specific to the oil and gas industry.
- A strong knowledge base with agency regulations and demonstrated application. A minimum of 5 years safety related work experience at a Process Safety Management (PSM) covered site.
- Working knowledge of Incident Command System
- The ability to work as a team member aligned and committed to the team's success.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- A minimum of intermediate computer skills.
