Job Description
Apex Companies, LLC seeks an Industrial Hygienist to work out of our growing Manassas, VA office! Work involves managing asbestos/lead/mold abatement projects (including subcontractor and client relationship management), performing asbestos/lead/mold surveys and project monitoring, indoor air quality inspections, air sample analyses, writing and preparing reports, and providing bid and proposal support at site locations in/around the Richmond Metro area. This role offers the potential for cross training through involvement in other environmental projects and Apex service areas! A BS in Environmental Science or a related field is preferred, but may be substituted for equivalent experience. Current certification as CIH is preferred. Proficiency with MS office, strong written and oral communication skills, and a desire to provide outstanding customer service are required. Qualified applicants will have their own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds, and the ability to work in field conditions. We also prefer, but don’t require, the following certifications for applicants: Asbestos Inspector, Risk Assessor, and/or Project Designer; Lead Inspector, Risk Assessor, and/or Project Designer; and Mold Certified Microbial Consultant, or equivalent.
