Job Description
Our client is searching for highly qualified candidates to provide Safety and Health expertise and support to the Western U.S. The successful candidate must be innovative, self motivated, capable of handling multiple projects, prioritize tasks on a daily basis, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with all levels of the company.

The successful candidate will be expected to: • Implement the Safety Management Program with employees and contractors, to achieve exceptional Safety performance.

• Prepare training and educational materials/presentations for employee safety meetings.

• Inspect oil and gas production facilities, compressor stations, and two (2) gas plants for compliance with OSHA, State and Company rules, regulations, and guidelines.

• Participate in incident investigations of employee and contractor injuries and vehicle incidents. Determine root cause(s) and prepare appropriate documentation.

• Facilitate leadership committee meeting with Division Management and prepare statistical and written documentation on EH&S scorecard performance on a routine basis.

• Review all Division incidents in the database and ensure completeness and accuracy of the data entered. Gather contractor man-hours on a monthly basis and report to Corporate.

• Coach both employees and contractors on behavioral issues and assist field operations on an ongoing basis.

Position requires at least 50% travel to locations in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

• Provide orientation training to contractors.

• Participate on EH&S Department teams to accomplish annual goals.

• Represent the Company in industry trade associations.

• Provide office safety support through effective ergonomics program, training and awareness initiatives.

• Assist with due diligence on property divestiture and acquisition activities.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree required from an accredited College or University in a science or engineering related discipline.

10+ years of progressive applicable EH&S work related experience in the oil and gas exploration and production business.

Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Power Point programs.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

CSP Designation

Masters Degree in a Safety Engineering related field
