The Market Unit Safety Manager contributes to The Pepsi Bottling Group's success through ensuring regulatory compliance and accident prevention. This person is responsible for leading the safety agenda, throughout a specific territory, by supporting the Senior Management team with the integration of prevention, safety and regulatory compliance into everyday work life. The Market Unit Safety Manager has responsibility to analyze accident data, develop and implement actionable safety solutions. Further, this position is responsible for implementing and executing initiatives that contribute to the Human Resources mission "Healthy, Strong and Admired". The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Safety with the ability to influence continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities include:

Ensure compliance with The Pepsi Bottling Group Safety polices and procedures. Partner with Work Comp claims team to manage early and safe return to work plans. Manage local Safety budget. Guide the leadership team in establishing annual safety objectives including Action Plans and assignment of responsibilities. Achieve annual targets for Accident Frequency and Accident Severity Rates. Liaise with Federal and Provincial agencies to ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety legislation, regulations and standards. Analyze data and develop strategies the Market Unit team can effectively execute toward reducing workplace injuries and vehicle accidents. Lead Market Unit efforts in achieving satisfactory levels for PBG's Safety Process Review.

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's Degree required A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Health and Safety industry required Safety experience in a related industry, including consumer packaged goods, distribution/transportation, manufacturing or grocery is a strong asset. Management experience in a fast-paced environment with labor relations is an asset. Strong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader Ability to accommodate frequent travel requirements Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite
