Job Description
1) Air, Water, Waste and Release/Spills A) Air * Capable of applying federal and local air regulations (LMAPCD) * Strategic Toxic Air Regulations (S.T.A.R.) * Permitting (FEDOOP, Title V, Agreed Order) -- Maintaining, renewing and obtaining new construction/operating permits * Recordkeeping (FEDOOP, Title V – when issued, Agreed Order, MACTs, NSPSs) -- HAPs/VOC, HON, AES * Reporting (FEDOOP, Title V – when issued, Agreed Order, MACTs, NSPSs) -- HAPs/VOC, HON, AES * Maintain Air Compliance Plan and revise as necessary B) Water * Capable of providing oversight of WWTP operation * Capable of applying federal and state water regulations (Kentucky) * Permitting (KPDES, Storm water and Water Withdrawal) -- Maintaining, renewing and obtaining new construction/operating permits * Recordkeeping -- Control data, DMR development data and OCPSF * Reporting -- DMRs, Water Withdrawal, and OCPSF * Maintain Water Quality Plans -- KPDES BMP, SWPPP and GWPPP C) Waste * Capable of applying federal and state waste regulations (Kentucky) * Prepare and ship non-hazardous and hazardous waste off-site for disposal -- Liquid and solid * Recordkeeping -- Waste stream identification, inspections, shipping and disposal *Reporting -- Annual RCRA Reporting * Maintain Waste Management Plan D) Release/Spills * Capable of applying federal, state and local release/spill regulations -- Immediate incident reporting: EPCRA, CERCLA, MSD -- TRI, Tier I, Tier II * Recordkeeping * Reporting * Maintain spill response plans in conjunction with other environmental plans -- SPCC 2) Lead and direct self review programs. * Review program action item follow up * Recordkeeping 3) Lead and direct environmental awareness training programs * Air, water, waste, release/spill and environmental review 4) Responsible for facility environmental expense budget 5) Lends support/resources for center of excellence activities to other PFPD plants. Requirements BS Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering;Must be familiar with Federal and State regulations in environmental. Minimum of 5 years industrial in a chemical, paper or petroleum industry. Strong "hands on" environmental background.;Must have proven personal leadership skills in a team environment. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and the availability for travel.
