Job Description
J. M. Huber, has immediate openings for a Manager, Global Environmental and Safety Systems in Atlanta, GA. As a member of the corporate EHS team you will provide direct support to the vice president in planning, implementation and managing the corporate-wide EH&S Management Systems including the MMSRs and world class safety initiatives. This person also provides a level of technical support business operations related to regulatory permitting, EHS incident investigations and developing strategic cost effective solutions to remedy EHS systems failures. Manage the on-going upgrades and development of corporate wide EH&S systems including the Huber self assessment program and assist sites in implementation efforts. Systems will cover 32 sites in ten countries. In addition, the Manager will assist in development of corporate world class safety initiatives e.g. contractor safety, first line supervisors training. Maintain corporate EHS website, documentation and systems including regulatory tracking, HEPI, and permits data base. Build and maintains excellent relationships with sector management and key stakeholders as well as continuously improve EHS systems .Write and deliver training on new programs to all sectors and act as role model for Huber vision and principles. In this position, you will be implementing process improvement and standardizing work practices as well as securing buy-in of key management within all sectors of the corporation.
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree in Environmental management, Environmental Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum 8 years experience of progressive responsibility in corporate environmental roles or 10 plus years providing consulting services in these areas. Strong influencing and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage global environmental (safety) programs and experience with implementing environmental (safety) management systems needed. Be able to demonstrate your ability to do training course development /implementation and be a team player. International experience preferred.
