Job Description

The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator reports to the Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor.  Coordinator will lead and support EHS improvement initiatives in conjunction with applicable regulations and corporate objectives in the areas of occupational health assessment, work place and job hazard assessment, training development, root cause analysis "incident investigation".  Secondary responsibility will include occupational incident case management.

 The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to:

  • Provide expertise to potential environmental, health and safety exposures and provides solutions to correct hazards.  
  • Act as a technical resource to assist management in complying with Federal, State, local and corporate guidelines/regulations.  
  • Develop, implement and maintain EH&S processes and programs, which are consistent with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Continuously review operating methods with respect to respiratory protection, occupational noise abatement, ergonomic assessment.
  • Provide needed EHS training to employees.
  • Conduct and/or assist management with incident investigation of environmental, health, safety and operational incidents, and provides recommendations and follow-up to ensure findings are adequately addressed.  
  • Design and conduct EH&S audits of internal and contract manufacturing operation.  
  • Issues reports of findings and provides follow up on recommendations.  
  • Manage audits conducted by third party groups or regulators.
