The Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) program offered by the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) is a generalist public health degree program.
The program is designed for individuals working or expecting to work in academic or clinical settings, industry, government health agencies, or international health.
The goals of the degree program leading to the Master's of Science in Public Health are to:
- Educate students in the core content and methodological areas of public health (epidemiology, bio-statistics, health care systems, occupational and environmental health, and social and community factors in health)
- Prepare students for practical application of skills and knowledge to public and community health research, community needs assessment, program planning and evaluation, and health policy research.
- Enrich graduate medical education program and continuing education for public health professionals.
